Adrian Deckbar became a photographer initially because she uses photography as a way to capture images on which to base artwork. Because of this she inadvertently became an experienced and expressive photographer. This new body of work focuses on the statuariy in Genoa at the cemetery in Staliegno. The figures attracted her because of their similarity to her solitary female figures that she poses for her paintings. Their emotive quality was unnerving. These photos were turned into large format prints which she produced in her New Orleans digital photography studio.
